Chitral: PushKart vendors selling vegetable and fruit in Chitral bazar staged a protest demo against alleged police high handedness at the behest of Traders union. The protest rally participants later addressed a press conference at the press club.

Speaking on behalf of the pushkart vendors,?Naseemullah, Nseeb Gul, Hameedullah, Muhammad Khan, Rahim Zada and Mahabat Khan said they were being pestered by the police at the complaint of the traders because they are selling fruit and vegetables at competitive rates which the established shopkeepers don’t like.

The pushkart vendors appealed to the Deputy Commissioner and District police Officer to stop the police from harassing them and allow them continue serving the people and themselves earning a fair livelihood. .. CN report, 26 May 2018
