Chitral: In the wake of alarming rate of motor cycle related traffic accidents the traffic wing of Chitral police has come down heavy on offenders including underage juvenile bikers and those not wearing helmets or over speeding. At the time of filing report about 123 motorbikes had been confiscated and kept under police custody.
In the past few years the number of motor cycles has multiplied manifold in the district and improvement of roads and increase in purchase power has added to the multiplication of motor bikes.
Strict action against traffic defaulters has been welcomed by the public and continuous watch on defaulters will bring down the accident rate related to motor bike riders. .. CN report, 13 Oct 2018
