Let's Just Take a Moment
-
poem
Cutting our throats,
with our own hands,
we complain that
no one,undrestands,
burning our boats,
without second thoughts,
we sigh at the curses,
fate has brought,
we injure ourselves,
with knives and daggers,
and when blood oozes,
we beg like beggars,
deciding our fate
ourselves,we gamble,
and watch our house,
burn down in shambles,
these chapters we've read,
oh, time and again,
but no lessons learnt,
isn't that a shame?
this agony we're feeiling,
this pain and distress,
this spritiual torture,
and mental unrest,
starvation and hunger,
inflation and crimes,
the laughing corruption,
and poverty chimes,
with just one decision,
just one step ahead,
we could be retreating,
a milestone instead,
with one piece of paper,
cast into that box,
may enslave our future,
or unlock these locks,
so when time arrives,
lets just take a moment,
to free our own selves,
of all these bad omens,
lets not, once more,
take daggers in our hands,
to slay our own beings,
and soil our own sands
