GB-Chitral row makes Shandur more interesting

Chitral -- The territorial row raised by the newly formed Gilgit Baltistan province over the Shandur plateau has made the polo festival at the 12000 ft playground all the more interesting. DCO Chitral told a meeting in on Monday that the Shandur festival would be held with full colour, regardless of whether any particular team participates or not. A large number of visitors are heading to the place to enjoy the festival and the cool weather. Meanwhile Chitralis have condemned GB claim over Shandur and say that to show some activity after becoming a province, they have chosen the wrong option, of  indulging in adventurism against their traditional and cultural brethren. .--(CN report, 05 July 10)
