Chitralis rejoice CJ taking suo motu notice of Lowari tunnel torture

Chitral: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has taken suo motu notice on the complaint of Chitralis that the benefit of Lowari tunnel is being denied to them by keeping it closed for most part of the day. The Chief Justice has asked for explanation from the Chairman NHA, the Secretary Communication and the Chief Secretary KP in five days.

Although the optimism is worth it’s while but some skeptics quote past examples when the NHA would give a report quoting technical reasons for keeping the tunnel closed after which the chapter of complaint would be closed and business would continue as usual.

Chitralis have requested the Chief Justice to reject the crap called ‘technical report’ of the NHA justifying closure of the tunnel for most part of the day and allowing only one way traffic in a a two way tunnel. The Chief Justice has been requested to order immediate opening of the tunnel for 18 continuous hours to two way traffic. If at all any work is left inside it should be carried out at night between 10 pm and 6 am. .. CN report, 21 Sep 2018

  1. ChiefJustice takes notice of everything but nothing happens practically after that. Let us hope the honorable Chief Justice is able to keep the lowari tunnel open round the clock. This is a test case.
