Only 4.79 percent of candidates passed the written portion of the Central Superior Services (CSS) Competitive Examination, 2018. The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) announced the results on Tuesday.
According to the FPSC, 24,010 candidates applied for the CSS exam, while 11,887 applicants appeared in the 2018 exam. Of these 11,887 candidates, only 569 people passed the written examination resulting in a pass percentage of 4.79%.
It is worth noting that this is an improvement from the 2016 and 2017 results. In 2017, 9391 students appeared for the examination with only 312 managing to pass, resulting in a passing percentage of 3.32%. In 2016, only 379 candidates out of 12,176 passed the examination, a 3.02% pass rate.
The candidates who have passed the written examination will be notified the schedule of Medical Examination, Psychological Assessment and Viva Voice by the FPSC within a few weeks. .. Source
