Afghan bandits slaughter Kalash shepherd

Chitral-- Afghan bandits have slaughtered a Chitrali Kalash Shepherd.  As reported a day earlier the Afghan robbers had taken away two Kalash shepherds and hundreds of animals with them to the valley of Nooristan in Afghanistan, have slaughtered one of the two shepherds Abad uddin and sent the body back to Bomborate. In view of the repeated recurring incidents, the presence of army and scouts is being questioned as they are comfortably occupying public infrastructures but are unable to protect the people from cross border intrusions. -- report by Dr. Khalil (Jughooru) 831 Queenston Road Hamilton Canada, presently at Jughoor Chitral, 18 Aug 2012.
