WAPDA chief must fulfill promise

Chitral-- Chairman Wapda Shakeel Durrani on his visit to Chitral three months back had promised that the Chitral town power house's worn out machinery would be replaced and the power house would be upgraded to 4 mw from the present 800 kw, within four months. Three months have passed but there is no sign of any up-gradation of the powerhouse machinery and load-shedding crisis has again worsened going upto 12 hours per day. People of Chitral have reminded the WAPDA Chairman of his promise and hoped that being an experienced and authoritative beurocrat,  his promise will materialize, unlike false promises of politicians.  -- CN report 30 Dec 2011.
