Chitral -- Secondary Lowari tunnel has also been opened for traffic and travelers are pleasantly surprised by the good quality of Lowari tunnel management under the FWO, compared to the NHA and SAMBU of last years.

PTI leader Wg Cdr (r) Fardad Ali Shah has on behalf of the people of Chitral, thanked the Chief of Army Staff and the FWO organisation for facilitating the travelers in using the Lowari tunnel and specially accepting the public demand of opening the secondary tunnel also. -- CN report, 23 Jan 2012
