PTCL refuses to repair DSL

Chitral -- DSL broad band service is suspended in Chitral since the last two weeks. Initially the sole monopolistic service provider company PTCL said it would repair the service in a day or two but after two weeks of continuous service outage, the PTCL has plainly refused to rectify the fault. Talking to this scribe from Peshawar, a senior official of PTCL Shahid Ali Khan said the DSL repair task would be undertaken once the winter season is over. Meanwhile DSL subscribers have decided to file a case in the consumer court against the inefficiency and high handedness of the PTCL department. -- GH Farooqi, 21 Jan 2012
