Colonel Khushwaqt Ul Mulk,
passes away

Colonel Khushwaqt ul Mulk passed away in Islamabad where he
was under treatment, on Friday morning 12 Feb at 2::40
AM. His body is being brought to Chitral
for burial in Mastuj. His Namaz Janaza will be held at
Chitral on Saturday.13 Feb at 10 AM after
which the body would be taken to Mastuj for burial.
Born on 13
June 1913, He led a healthy and active life all the way.
He served in many coveted positions, as the Commandant of
East Pakistan Rifles with an honorary rank of Brigadier in
1956 and as Governor of Mastuj.during the time Chitral was a
state.
Known as
Mestujo Governor to his people and Col Khush to his close
friends, he lived a life befitting his name -a clean and
benign life of almost 97 years without a blemish. He always
wished well for others and never displayed greed for
worldly possessions.

He was a
perfect humanitarian and even on his death bed instead of
worrying about himself, he was
dreaming and praying for de-nuclearisation and
de-weaponisation of the world. A couple of weeks ago when he
was asked what his message to the world would be, he said.
"The system of God should be given back in the hands
of God", and he said that so emphatically despite a frail
health.
He performed
charitable and benevolent acts without publicizing them.
Colonel Khushwaqt has left behind a fond place in the hearts
of so many who would miss his lively yet angelic presence.
He was the
father of Shahzada Siraj ul Mulk, Shahzada Sikander Ul
Mulk, and Shahzada Humayun (late) and father in law of
Shahzada Dr Sardar Ul Mulk, Capt Javed Khan and Wg Cdr (r)

خاک کردینے جائیں گے چترال
شہر میں انکا نماز جنازہ ہفتے کی صبح دس بجے شاہی قله کے
باہرلان میں ادا کی جائے گی. انکے لواحقین نے رشتہ داروں'
دوستوں اور خیرخواہوں کی سہولت اورمستوج سفر کی مشکلات کے پیش
نظر چترال میں ہفتے١٣ فروری کی صبح ٨ بجے سے دس بجے تک دعا کا
اہتمام کیا ہے..
