Chitral --  Overseas Chitralis Welfare Association (OCWA) in a press release said it was fully functional under the current management without any changes. Moving forward all activities associated with the association including the Second Annual Scholarship for Intermediate Students of Chitral will be held according to the schedule.

The release says, It iwas important to differentiate between Overseas Chitralis Welfare Association (OCWA) and Chitral Welfare Association (established in 2007). To ensure proper functioning and to increase the scope of the association, OCWA was established in 2009.  Since OCWA’s establishment, the current leadership has achieved many objectives and effectively carried out its mission. Achievements under its leadership include Uchust flood relief, scholarship program, Decent College Fire Incident relief etc. As a result of the successful execution of its mission in assisting the people of Chitral the leadership was reappointed in 2010.
