Qaqlasht festival concludes


Chitral -- Jashn-e-Qaqlasht festival is being celebrated at Qaqlasht plateau of Mulkhow tehsil Chitral district, for the last five years. This year MPA Haji Ghulam Muhammad chaired as chief guest attended with Ex-Tehsil Nazim and Chairman Jash-ne-qaqlasht committee Shahzada Skindar Ul Mulk, TMA Mastuj Muhammad Zahir, APML President Shahzada Pervaiz, District government dignitaries and officers of different NGOs on the final ceremony of Jash-ne-qaqlasht on April 18,2011.
 

Addressing the gathering Chairman Jashn-e-qaqlasht committee Shahzada Sikander Ul Mulk thanked DCO and his team,M.D of Sarhad Tourism for sponsorship of this festival, management of Jash-ne-qaqlasht committee and members, Commandant of Chitral Scouts ,  media of Chitral, particularly Geo TV, Aljazeera Tv, Abuzaibi TV representative for the coverage of this festival, CAMAT and CHEP Chairman.
 

APML President Khalid Pervaiz while introducing himself said that I have come here only to convey the message of my father Shahzada Mohyyuddin that he got approved the 145 Km road of Boroghul and Torkhow from president. APML President said that I did join this party due to the immense contributions of Pervaiz Musharaf for Chitral. He also announced 50 thousand rupees for the organizing committee of Jash-ne-qaqlasht and 10 thousand for the runner up team of Booni Football team and winner Morder.


Vice-Chairman of Jash-ne-qaqlasht also spoke and said that I am very thankful to all who came here and contributed and made this festival successful and mesmerizing putting aside their works and cold weather.  With concluding remarks Chief guest MPA Haji Ghulam Muhammad first expressed thanks to Chairman Jash-ne-qaqlasht committee, APML President, Ex-Nazims, Players and all people of Chitral for honoring him as chief guest of this festival. He also expressed his appreciation to Sarhad Tourism for funding this festival. He said that this festival gives a message to the world that we are peaceful people, polishing the talents of our children here instead of handing them weapons. He spoke of various development projects being undertaken by him.  He announced 5o thousand rupees for Jash-ne-qaqlasht committee and 10 thousand for Booni and Morder teams respectively and thanked Chitrali and foreign media persons for coverage of the festival. -- AM Khan Charun, Chitral, 19 Apr 2011.
