Khow LSO annual meeting held


Chitral -- The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of General Body members of Khow Local Support Organization (KLSO) Mulkhow Chitral, was held at KLSO office Warijun. AKRSP staff, political leaders, intellectuals, teachers and representatives of village based organizations participated in the meeting. Manager KLSO presented the progress made during last one year. In the meeting the educated youth of the union council showed their willingness in working with rural communities with new thought and vision. The participants of the event highly admired the interest of youth during their remarks. The general body members of KLSO selected educated and professional youth from their respective hamlets for the formation of new Board of Directors for next one year.

The management called a meeting of outgoing and new board members on April-26-2011 at KLSO office Warijun. The audit committee presented income expenditure report of last year in detail. Mr Mehboob ur Rehman was elected as Chairman KLSO for the next one year by receiving 12 votes out of 13. Mr Muhammad Sharif was nominated as Vice Chairman with united consensus. New board took oath from outgoing chairman Mr Qadir Shah. He advised new board members for arranging regular meetings for sharing issues, progress and in time decision making. The new chairman in his remarks threw light on the intension of new board members for UC level planning and decision making through community participation. Saif ur Rehman, Wali Rehmat, Altaf Hussain Shah, Shahnaz, Rehmat Ullah, Sajjad Ali Shah, Amina, Sami Ullah, Aalia, Nasir ud Din and Sami ul Haq are other members of KLSO Board of Directors. Mr Zahir Shah, Ijaz Hussain, Khadim Ullah and Jamila were selected as board members against technocrat’s seats.  -- Sajjad Ali Shah, Mulkhow, 21 Apr 2011.
