HH Saif Ul Mulk Nasir, former Mehtar Chitral passes away

Chitral -- His Highness Saif ul Mulk Nasir, the former Mehtar of Chitral State, passed away due to cardiac arrest in Islamabad in the early hours on !8 October 2011,  at the age of 61 years. He was under treatment for heart ailment and had undergone bypass operation several years ago. He is survived by two sons, Shahzada Fateh ul-Mulk Ali Nasir and Shahzada Hammad ul-Mulk Nasir and two married daughters.

HH Saif ul Mulk was a very nice soul as a person and possessed all  the good qualities of a royal prodigy. He was a gentle, friendly and harmless human being and possessed noble and clear views about different matters.. He donated hundreds of acres of his private land to homeless people. His body will be brought to Chitral for burial at his ancestral grave yard adjacent the Shahi Masjid. His namaz janaza is scheduled to be held on Wednesday 19 October at 11 am. at the Shahi fort  baagh. -- CN report, 18 Oct 2011.
