Chitral -- A mass wedding ceremony of 27 couples was held at Madaklasht village of Drosh tehsil,, organised by the Aga Khan Council Lower Chitral and sponsored by Aga Khan Social Welfare Board Chitral (AKSWB).  The ceremony was presided over by Amir Wali president AK Local council. The couples only paid Rs 5500 each while the rest money was sponsored by the AK board. It merits mentioning that Aga Khan council for Madaklasht is organizing mass marriage ceremonies since 2007 and more than 100 couples have tied the knot this way, until now. -- Gh Farooqui, 04 July 2011.
