I wish to express anguish over the cessation of funds provision from the federal government for completion of the Lawari tunnel. It appears the party in power has taken the Chitrali people for granted and does not want to 'waste' any money on them. The chairman PPP will contest elections from Layari in Karachi as per declaration of the president of Pakistan, therefore one should not be surprised if the spellings on the fund allocation order have been changed from Lawari to Layari.  -- Faridul Haq, Chitral, 28 July 2011.
