Education award for Chitralis
Miraj Ali one of the Aga Khan Schools
teacher and Saeeda Bibi Teacher Langland school Balach Branch attached
with ECD Programme of Aga Khan Education Service (P) Chitral have been
awarded with 2nd Anita Ghulam Ali World Teachers’ Day Award 2009 for
Early Childhood Education (ECE) on April 6, 2010. This award ceremony
was held at Aga Khan University –Institute for Educational Development
Karachi attended by high profiles of Pakistan in the field of education.
The awards with cash prizes was presented to these outstanding teachers
for their exceptional performance as teacher and both of them were
acknowledged as Living Legends and Icons in Education. They have won
this award competing at Pakistan level
Miraj Ali is teaching in Aga Khan primary
school Khuzh and has very rich experience of teaching to young children.
He is one the most competent teachers of AKES, P working in this remote
area with full commitment and enthusiasm. Ms Saeeda Bibi basically was
teaching at AKS Breb but later on shifted to Chitral centre and joined
ECD section of The Langlands School Chitral. She has attended a number
of trainings and workshops on ECD with Aga
Khan Education Service (P)
Chitral. She has been also very creative and innovative classroom
teacher. She has always shown great dedication towards teaching and
learning. Her classes always been lively and interesting. I congratulate
to both of them for their outstanding performance and winning this award
competing at Pakistan level. It is indeed a great pleasure for all
Chitralis. I wish many more successes to both of them in the years
ahead!
