'Persons of impeccable character' -letter
 

Pakistan is a strange country where the prime minister is looking for 'persons of impeccable character' to constitute the flood relief management committee, which is a temporary and adhoc requirement, Whereas on the other hand, the permanent supreme institution responsible for running/overlooking the day to day affairs of the state ie the parliament is full of 'persons with no character' eg fake degree holders, "kya cooruption per hamara haq nahin hay?", "there is no difference between a fake and a genuine degree", etc etc.-What a country of contradictions indeed!! --Feroze Ali Shah, Islamabad, 21 Aug 10.
