Ever since Gilgit-Baltistan has been given the status of a province, it has started controversies with neighboring Chitral District. First it lay claim over the territory of Shandur pass. It boycotted the Shandur polo festival first time in the history of the two neighboring states. Now it is frantically trying to promote Babu Sar pass festival as rival to world acclaimed Shandur festival. The newly formed govt of Gilgit-Baltistan province should find work elsewhere and know that they will achieve nothing by whipping up bad feelings between the two brotherly territories.
