Is
there justice on this land? -letter
Through your esteemed publication I would like to highlight the
injustice meted out to me and demand redressal of
the same from the authorities.
I am a graduate with additional qualification of CT
B Ed, and have worked as SST in upper Dir and have
four years teaching experience in a private school
beside working in NGOs.
In 2008, under the Oxford policy management scheme I
was appointed as warden of the Girls Hostel at Govt
Girls degree college Booni on adhoc basis as there
was no formal vacancy. I was told that I would be
regularised whenever vacancy was created,, I toiled
hard and established the hostel on sound grounds.
However now when the post has been regularised,
principal of the college is trying to appoint his
own daughter as the warden. He himself prepared the
test at his home and was member of the interview
panel which made the selection.
The pretext he has given for selecting his daughter
is that she is MA whereas the required qualification
given in the advertisement was BA. Also the
preference was for unmarried person whereas the
principal's daughter is married with two children.
How can
the principal prepare the test at his home, be the
invigilator and the interviewer himself and select
fairly between his daughter and other candidates? Is
this virtually possible ?
Can
the higher authorities, human right activists,
Women's right champions and Legal aid forums take up
this case of glaring injustice and make sure that I
am given my earned right and if at all new selection
tests have to be carried out they are conducted in a
fair manner by impartial sources so that merit is
ensured and justice meted out.
