Phakol and Shuqa day

The other day, Sindhis celebrated topi and ajrak day to highlight the
important components of their material culture. We Chitralis are fast
giving up our khapol and shuqa, which is not a good omen. How nice it
would have been if the district government or some organisation comes
forward with an idea of khapol and shuqa day to mobilize our thoughts in
this regard.

میں پکول اور شقہ کا دن

ایڈیٹر !
گزشتہ روز سندھیوں نے سندھی ٹوپی اور اجرک کا دن منایا اور اپنے
ثقافت کی ان دو اہم اجزا کی نشاندہی کی. ہم چترالی بھی اپنے روایتی
پہناوے پکول اور شقہ کو تیزی سے بھول رہے ہیں. کیا ہی اچھا ہو
کہ
چترال میں بھی ضلعی حکومت یا کوئی اور ادارہ پکول اور شقہ کا دن
منانے کا اہتمام کرے تاکہ ہم اس جانب غور کرنے پر راغب ہو جائیں.
