MQM's stance on Shandur -letter

During the recent political turmoil the MQM high ups have unexpectedly taken bold  position like the decision not to support NRO and  support the local govt system with in the country. MQM Chief Altaf Hussain in his recent telephonic address in Gilgit Baltistan also advised the masses not to indulge in Shia Suni differences and tried to eliminate sectarian differences amongst the masses.

Unfortunately during the same electioneering campaign MQM tried to arouse regional differences by expressing it's illogical view about the position of Shandur polo ground, which is the part of District Chitral.  During his speech MQM chief said that after being elected his representatives would raise this issue at a high level.

Our country has already enough problems to be resolved and  Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral are the most peaceful areas of our country. We don’t have any differences but our own top political leaders are trying to air the regional differences for their own vested interests.

Everybody knows that MQM has no roots in these areas; then why these political leaders are blindly issuing such kind of irresponsible statements? These statements might create a kind of disturbance within the peaceful areas of our country. We have cultural traditional and historical linkages for centuries and we don’t want to loose these sweet bondages because of adventurist politicians.
