'Speedex' or 'Slowex' - letter

I am a resident of Chitral. A few months back, i had dispatched an application form duly filled in and addressed to the secretary NWFP public Service Commission through PIA Speedex Courier Service from Chitral .The closing date as announced by the PCS for the entertainment of application forms against the vacant positions was 08 march 2008, whereas i visited the Speedex courier office at Chitral on 02 march to dispatch the said application form. Later on, i was notified through a letter by PCS that my form was delivered to the addressee after the closing date and was thereupon rejected.

On approaching the Speedex Office at Chitral, i was told that according to the record available with them the delivery was made on the closing date at 12.40 pm. The concerned official provided me the delivery list as an evidence and I traveled all the way to Peshawar to enquire whether i was done injustice by the commission. To my utter surprise, the concerned official at the PCS office showed me the record that the application form was actually delivered to him on 11 march late by three days of the closing date. When i produced the copy of the delivery list to him, he rejected it to be fake and asked to produce the list bearing his signature of receipt. On reproaching the officials of the courier service at Peshawar for their version of explanation, they failed to satisfy me and resorted to inventing million tricks.

Due to negligence of the Courier Service, i could not avail the opportunity coming my way once in many years. Moreover, it cost me heavily in terms of money and time to travel to Peshawar on the fake information provided by the Speedex Courier Service.
