Mother of all issues  -letter

This is with reference to a letter titled  'Fabricating non issues' (18  May), in which the writer has quoted from an article in a news paper contending that the issue of restoration of an independent judiciary is really a non-issue. I dare question the writer  of the article 'if restoration of an independent judiciary is a non issue, then what is an issue before the nation?'.  If 90 percent of the people (according to the writer) are so poor that they cannot buy bread; it is because there has been no real justice in this country.  Bread of the people has been gobbled down year after year by unscrupulous managers of the country and PCO like judges have been readily abetting them and that is why 90 percent of the people are poor.  Now when a handful of courageous members of the judiciary have stood up to say 'no' to exploiters, we must support them with head and heart -if we fail them, good people would think twice to come to the fore,  and 90 percent people will continue to be poor and hungry.
