Strike against Electricity woes

CHITRAL, 27 June 08: Complete shutter down strike is being observed in Chitral town Bazars Friday, protesting unnecessary power outages and unbridled corruption in the electricity department. It may be pointed out that Wg Cdr (r) Fardad Ali Shah has already filed a case on behalf of the people of Chitral town, in the court of law against corruption and mismanagement in the electricity department, and a large number of electricity consumers are eagerly waiting to present themselves as witnesses in support of the allegations filed in the petition. Talking to journalists Wg Cdr (r) Fardad Ali Shah said accepting injustice passively is a sin and any society which cannot speak out for the right and castigate the wrong is doomed to disgrace, therefore it is time that Chitralis also rise against day to day injustices being faced by them. --(CN report)
