Electricity problem remains unsolved

CHITRAL, 01 June 08: Eight days after the District Nazim claimed additional 1.5 Mw lying unused at Reshun hydel station has been given to the Town to alleviate the growing load shedding problem, the situation remains unchanged and Chitral town remains under heavy load shedding. The only difference seen is that the WAPDA people are enhancing power to the areas with nuisance value at the cost of the areas with simple and docile people -the total remaining same only with more injustice induced into it. When it was queried as to why excessive power going waste at the Reshun hydel station was not attached to the town grid despite the district Nazim's announcement to the effect, Wapda sources said the pricing had not been settled between the Wapda and Shydo, both notorious organisations for creating problems for the people.
