Banks extend business timings

CHITRAL, 02 May 08: All banks operating in Chitral have extended their business hours offering nonstop full banking services For almost eight hours. The working hours of most banks now are from 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs, non stop, with Khyber Bank timings from 0900 - 1630 hrs. Earlier banks in Chitral were reluctant to offer services to their clients after 1200 hrs making it only a three hour long banking service per day. However the National Bank of Pakistan, which is also the largest bank operating in Chitral has not yet issued any official notification about extension in it's business timings.--(CN report)
