Human out does leopard in predation

Jan 08: A case of man versus animal set in a competition to get a Markhor
was witnessed at the Tooshi wild life conservancy near Chitral town, the
other day. US citizen

Samuel Jacksick had obtained a permit to hunt Markhor
for a license fee of 82000 US Dollars. After a week long struggle in the
wildlife sanctuary, he managed to bag a Markhor trophy measuring 40 inches.
Interestingly due to severe snowfall a hungry snow leopard had also
descended upon the same prey at that very time but the natural predator was
driven away by the sound of gunfire from the human competitor, thus proving
the fact that humans are superior even as predators. According to the
District wild life officer Imtiaz Ahmad, 80 percent of the license fee would
go to the local communities for conservation of wildlife, while 20 percent
