Flood damages in Drosh

CHITRAL, 18 Sep 07: Flash flood in Drosh Nallah has caused damage to property in the area. Flood entered the TV re-broadcasting station damaging  the station and as a result TV transmissions are suspended since Sunday. The flood entering the  TV station after breaking its compound went out by breaking backwall and entered houses damaging 5 houses one bridge and sidewall of so many houses besides breaking telephone lines and destroying standing crops of maize. Houses of M. Ameen, Bahadar Khan, Ahmad Khan, Aleem Khan and M Akbar were damaged. While cash of 120000 ina  suitcase of Bahadar Khan who is a carriage contractor of Chitral scouts was also washed away in flood.

On the other side a heavy flood erupted in Katgal goal nullah damaging a newly constructed bridge and so many houses. House of Wor Muhammad Khan son of Haji Wor Akbar Khan was damaged. The flood also ruined standing crops, water supply pipeline and telephone lines. (GH Farooqi)
