Chitral-Peshawar road cut off

CHITRAL, 08 Jul 07: Main Chitral-Peshawar road has been cut off at Ziarat due to flood and landslide as a result of last night rains. The road which is blocked since 20000 hrs Saturday is expected to be reopened sometime on Monday.

 It may be pointed out that this is high traffic period due to holiday season, Shandur festival etc. If main road had  been blocked any where else in Pakistan it would have been a news flashed by the TV channels  but with Chitral it being a routine matter has not been given any importance.
