One dead six injured in mishaps

 

CHITRAL, 27 Jun 07: One person died while six were injured in different mishaps in Chitral. In the first case, one Muhammad Dina Shah of Darkhanduri Drosh lost his life to a flash flood in the Shishi river.

In another accident a jeep on its way to Rech from Chitral plunged into the ravine at Paloom gol leaving six injured who are Mastoor Khan, Raham Shah, Said Jehan Shah, Murad Hussain Shah, Sanaiel Shah and Safdar Ali. Three of them were discharged after getting  first aid from Shahgram hospital while the other was admitted in Aga khan Health centre Booni for treatment. While a victim of the earlier Sanoghur accident, driver Adeena Shah succumbed to his injuries and expired in hospital.

It is worth mentioning here that due to continued rains, floods and bad conditions of link roads of Chitral,  three accidents have occurred within a short  span of only one week causing the  death of five persons and injuring  dozens others. (GH Farooqi)
