Nazims demand night travel ban

CHITRAL, 15 Jun 07: Nazim UC Kosht Amir Khan Jalali and Nazim UC Ayun Rehmat Illahi have in a press statement demanded ban on public transport plying between Peshawar and Chitral during night time. They said the poor and perpetually zigzagging condition of roads and absence of facilities make it dangerous plying the Peshawar-Chitral van service at night time. They quoted the recent accident on Malakand pass at midnight which cost 12 precious lives, where no rescue facilities etc were available for quite sometime. The Nazims condemned Peshawar District Administration for failing to provide proper bus stop and adequate facilities to Chitrali passengers at Peshawar.
