Lowari snow clearing in progress

CHITRAL, 27 Dec 08: Lowari pass road could be open by Sunday evening (subject to weather) as snow clearing was in progress, said PD Lowari Tunnel project Engr Abdul Samad Khan while talking to CN on phone. About the Lowari tunnel which was expected to see a breakthrough by mid December he said only 147 meters of the tunnel was left to be dug which is likely to be completed between by 10-15 January, and will be celebrated at an official hand shake ceremony thence, he said. --(CN report)
