ISLAMABAD, 21 Mar 07: Pakistan and Kuwait Fund signed a loan agreement amounting to $37 million for the Golan Gol Chitral hydropower project here on Wednesday.

The 106 megawatt hydropower project on Golan Gol river, about
25 km from Chitral city, will cost $117 million.The project is being co-financed by the Kuwait Fund, Saudi Fund and the OPEC Fund. A loan agreement with the other financiers of the project is expected to be signed by July. (--Zar Alam Khan)
