CHITRAL, 04 Mar 07: Norwegian telecom company 'Telenor' commenced its services in southern parts of Chitral from Drosh upto Bakarabad on the outskirt of the town. The initial service quality was not upto  general expectations, but the Franchise holder partner Takbir Khan while talking to 'Chitral News' said concerned technical staff is expected in Chitral soon and service would improve. He said the mobile service would be extended upto Chitral town in April and then onwards to Mastuj subsequently.

It may be noted that the earlier operating mobile company in Chitral the 'Mobilink' has not been able to provide quality service and consumers are expecting much better service from 'Telenor'.
