Kalash valley people demand School

Threaten protest long march on 6 April

CHITRAL, 02 April,10: Residents of Kalash valley of Birir which also houses muslim community have threatened to launch a 'long march' on 06 April if the Govt does not pay attention to reconstruction of the middle school which was gutted by fire three years ago.

At a parents day school function elders of the area lamented the apathy of the government because of which their children were forced to sit in open air in freezing temperatures driving many students sick and added problems for the parents in curing their children's sickness caused by culpable negligence of the government.

The working of LP program also came under criticism by speakers who said the organisation was only doing hypothetical 'kaghazi jama kharch' with no solid work on ground. They said the organisation should do visible practical work with results on ground instead of building castles in the air.--(Muhkamuddin)
