Garam Chashma valley of Chitral
District. Manager of a commercial bank while talking to Chitral News
said that there had been an increase in the number clients of Garam Chashma
area visiting the bank to harvest the profits from potato bumper crop this
year. It may be pointed out that the climatic condition of Garam Chashma and
Mastuj Sub Division areas are ideal for potato cultivation and produce tasty
and healthy crop, the price of which has risen sharply this year.
Knowledgeable sources have estimated a potato related business of Rs 80 to
100 million in the valley this season. --(CN report)
