Free fair economic activities
need encouragement

27 Jan 10: Free and fair economic activities create healthy competition
amongst the traders and ultimately benefit the end users who are the
common people. Whether it is opening of a convenient transport stand or
selling vegetables in mobile vans or any other such like healthy
activity, all are in the interest of the people and should not be
discouraged.
People have complained that mobile vegetable vendors who bring fruit and
vegetables from down country through the Lowari tunnel and sell them at
a fraction of the rates offered by erstwhile monopolist vegetable
dealers are being harassed by the traffic police at the behest of the
mafia.
People have appealed to the administration to stop the police from
A mobile vegetable vendor harassing those who want to do honest
business and bring respite to the people struck with awful price hike in
almost every commodity most of it manipulated and exaggerated.--(GH
