Residents launch Self
help repair
of power house channel
Chitral, 26 Dec 09:
After being declared by the Resident Engineer that power generation from
the Chitral powerhouse is inadequate because of lack of water in the
channel , Members of the Electricity Restoration Committee decided to
take along volunteers and repair the channel to enhance the water
flow. The District Coordination Officer Rehmatullah Wazir contributed by
deputing border police soldiers and he himself along with the ACO
Muftahuddin participated in the social work. Later on the DCO along with
the committee members visited the power house, where the RE in his
briefing blamed the power distribution department of not utilising the
complete generated power and deliberately manipulating a situation of
power shortage. The DCO decided to bring the two responsibles face to
face to sort out the problem --(CN report)

میں ہفتے کے روز کمیٹی براے بجلی بحالی کے اراکین نے
بمع دیگر سوشل ورکر اور بارڈر پولیس
کے جوانوں کے چترال بجلی گھر کے نالے کو دریا سے پانی کا مقدار بڑھھانے پر
کام کیا. چترال کے ڈی سی او رحمت اللہ وزیر نے بارڈر پولیس کے جواں مہیا
کیے اور وہ خود بھی اے سی او مفتاح الدین کے ہمراہ اس کام میں شریک ہوے ،
بعد ازاں ڈی سی او نے کمیٹی کے اراکین کے ہمراہ پاورہاؤس کا دورہ کیا جہاں
ریزیڈنٹ انجنئیر نے بریفنگ دیتے ہوے بتایا کہ بجلی ڈستریبوشہن کرنے والے
پوری بجلی استمال نہیں کرتے ہیں اور جان بھہوج کر چترال شہر میں بجلی کے
قلت کی کیفیت پیدا کرتے ہیں جس پر ڈی سی او نے دونوں محکموں کے سربراہوں کی
میٹنگ بلانے کا حکم دیا تاکہ یہ بات صاف ہو جایے
اور
