Tunnel
usage allowance welcomed
CHITRAL, 11 Nov 08: A silent revolution has come
about in the lives of the Chitrali people when they have been allowed to
pass through the Lowari tunnel with the closure of the Lowari pass. The
decision to open the tunnel daily for two hours was taken in a high
level meeting in Islamabad recently where a participant Wg Cdr (r)
Fardad Ali Shah had put forward this plea with arguments in support and
which was instantly approved by the Federal minister for Communications,
the Chairman NHA and chief of SAMBU company. Now the tunnel is being
made available to stranded passengers. Now no Chitrali would be
psychologically handicapped after the closure of the Lowari pass road in
