CHITRAL, 07 Nov 08: Chitralis have demanded similar subsidies as given to the people of Gilgit Baltistan. During the recent visit of Governor NWFP, the point was raised from the audience to provide Flour bag at Rs 800 as subsidised by the 'World Food Program' in Gilgit Baltistan (GB) and set the electricity rate @ Rs 1 per unit as is there. The Governor showed surprise over the disparity in the two areas which have same topography and similar problems, and promised to look into the matter.. --(CN report)
