MQM eyeing for inroad into Chitral?

CHITRAL, 29 Sep 09:  After announcing to take active part in Gilgit-Baltistan elections due in November, The Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) a Karachi based quasi nationalist political party with secular bias may eye to make snap inroads into Chitral's politics, where it is unknown thus far. The results of its efforts in the forthcoming GB elections will decide how much it is encouraged to foray into neighboring Chitral, says a seasoned political analyst talking to Chitral News. MQM as a political party has so far not been able to venture outside urban Sindh, where it has established itself as a potent force with a strong organizational base, performing well in every election since its inception in 1984. --(CN report)
