Five shops gutted in Chitral bazaar

CHITRAL 29 May 09: Five shops were brought down by fire in Chitral bazaar Friday afternoon. The fire broke out in a CD shop and engulfed adjacent four barber shops. Locals aided by police, scouts and fire brigade, put out the fire after a two hour struggle. Police reported the fire a result of short circuit but some onlookers were heard exclaiming that they were happy the CD shop caught fire as it had become  a den of immoral activities. --(GH Farooqi)

House gutted :  In another incident, newly built house of Master Shamsuddin of Shoghore Awi was burnt to Ashes due to reported electric short circuit.
