Through your
esteemed lines I would like to appreciate Hydro-link team and
Engineer Fazle Rabi for their contributions to the production and
sustainable Micro Hydel Power (MHP) in KP and especially in Chitral.
I recall the time when, AKRSP started installation of MHPs at
village level, we had to rely on down country market players for
installation and a simple repair in our village MHPs. AKRSP support
for decentralization initiatives on the one hand, and support for
growth, market oriented, and private sector path of development on
the other hand has now borne fruit. Now we see the emergence Network
of Local support organizations and Companies like Hydro-link, MOGH
Limited, Mountain Seed Service, Mountain Engineering Services and
Alternative Solution for Development etc. in Chitral and Gilgit
Baltistan which can set a sound replicable model of private-private
and public partnership in the country. Keep up the good work.
