ECD Teachers training organised

Chitral –-  Early childhood development (ECD) teachers training program spread over 20-days culminated with a function at Sinlasht Chitral town. Teachers were trained to understand the dynamics of modern pedagogy in order to better facilitate the child learning process.

The training modules consisted of information about how a child builds knowledge out of an interaction with people, objects and ideas. The trainees were engaged in exercises helpful to create teaching materials that cost almost nothing. They were given an opportunity to gain important knowledge and skills that a modern teache needs to actively enhance the early childhood development.

Trainees were familiarized with a wonderful content, Learning Through Play (LTP) an International Project of a Toronto based organization; Hincks-Dellcrest Centre, that is dedicated to delivering optimal mental health services to infants, children, youth, and their families, and promoting healthy psychosocial functioning and development in communities.

22 Participants from various organizations including: Eagle Educational Institute, Aga Khan Education Service, I-read, Anmot, Ismaili Tariqua and Religious Education Board (ITREB) and Eagle Eye School attended the training. Ms. Yasmi Khan, a Torontonian education consultant oversaw the training with other local trainers.

The training session concluded with a certificate awarding ceremony where the participants share their learning through the highlights of the training session. The successful candidates got their training completion certificates from the Chief Guest, Dr. Mir Afza who, in his speech, applauded the efforts of Eagle Eye Educational Institute for making the training a success.
