ECD Teachers
training organised
Chitral –- Early childhood development (ECD)
teachers training program spread over 20-days culminated
with a function at Sinlasht Chitral town. Teachers were
trained to understand the dynamics of modern pedagogy in
order to better facilitate the child learning process.
The training modules consisted of information about how
a child builds knowledge out of an interaction with
people, objects and ideas. The trainees were engaged in
exercises helpful to create teaching materials that cost
almost nothing. They were given an opportunity to gain
important knowledge and skills that a modern teache
needs to actively enhance the early childhood
development.
Trainees were familiarized with a wonderful content,
Learning Through Play (LTP) an International Project of
a Toronto based organization; Hincks-Dellcrest Centre,
that is dedicated to delivering optimal mental health
services to infants, children, youth, and their
families, and promoting healthy psychosocial functioning
and development in communities.
22 Participants from various organizations including:
Eagle Educational Institute, Aga Khan Education Service,
I-read, Anmot, Ismaili Tariqua and Religious Education
Board (ITREB) and Eagle Eye School attended the
training. Ms. Yasmi Khan, a Torontonian education
consultant oversaw the training with other local
trainers.
The training session concluded with a certificate
awarding ceremony where the participants share their
learning through the highlights of the training session.
The successful candidates got their training completion
certificates from the Chief Guest, Dr. Mir Afza who, in
his speech, applauded the efforts of Eagle Eye
Educational Institute for making the training a success.
