PTI Chitral leader stresses for Electoral reforms

Islamabad --   Pakistan Tehrik Insaf Chitral leader Wg Cdr (r) Fardad Ali Shah has stressed upon the need for immediate electoral reforms, specially the introduction of 'Run off' elections incase a candidate fails to get 50 percent of the polled votes in the first round. He expressed these views at a meeting with the Secretary General PTI Dr Arif Alvi in Islamabad, Monday.

The meeting was held under the forum, 'Friends of PTI' included senior ex armed forces officers, senior serving corporate managers, executives, bankers, professionals and philanthropists. The meeting was held with the intention to help PTI win elections and bring about the direly needed change in Pakistan, without which there is a fear of anarchy and mayhem in the country. Secy Gen Dr Arif Alvi reiterated Pakistan Tehrik Insaf's resolve of curbing corruption and promoting merit in the country. He assured the participants that after coming into power PTI will not let them and the people of Pakistan down.

Participants of the meeting reassured the Secretary General their support for the PTI as long as it represents the aspirations of the people of Pakistan. Many of the participants said they never took interest in politics before, but now they consider it a debt of their country upon them which they are bound to repay back by taking part in politics and supporting the clean party which today is the PTI, they said. --CN report, 06 Dec 2011

پاکستان تحریک انصاف کے لیڈر کا انتخابی اصلاحات کا مطالبہ
پاکستان تحریک انصاف چترال کے لیڈر ونگ کمانڈر (ریٹایرڈ) فرداد علی شاہ نے مطلبہ کیا ہے کے انتخابی طریقہ کار میں فلفور اصلاحات کی جائیں بلخصوص 'رن آف' الیکشن کو متعارف کرایا جائے جو بہت سے ممالک میں کامیابی کے ساتھ رائج ہے اور ہمارے ملک کو اس کی شدید ضرورت ہے. اس طریقہ کار کے مطابق اگر کوئی امیدوار پہلے راؤنڈ میں پول شدہ ووٹوں کا پچاس فیصد حاصل نہیں کر پاتا تو پہلے اور دوسرے نمبر پر آنے والے امید واروں کے درمیان دوبارہ مقابلہ کیا جاتا ہے تاکہ عوامی رائے کا درست اور مکمل اظہار ہو اور ٹوٹے پھوٹے طریقوں سے لوگ انتخابات نہ جیت سکیں. وہ اسلام آباد میں پاکستان تحریک انصاف کے سیکرٹری جنرل ڈاکٹر عارف علوی سے ملاقات میں ان خیالات کا اظہآرکر رہے تھے. ملاقات میں ریٹایرڈ سینئر فوجی و سیول افسران ' کاروباری شخصیات و مخیر شخصیات شامل تھے. شرکا نے ملک کی بہتری کیلئے تحریک انصاف کا بھر پور ساتھ دینے کا عہد کیا. تحریک انصاف کے سیکرٹری جنرل ڈاکٹر عارف علوی نے وعدہ کیا کہ اقتدار میں آنے کے بعد پارٹی انکی اور عوام  کی امنگوں پر پوری اترے گی اور ملک میں کرپشن کےخلاف جنگ اور میرٹ کی حوصلہ افزائی کرے گی . شرکا نے پاکستان  تحریک انصاف کا بھر پور ساتھ دینے کا اور ملک میں اسے کامیاب کرانے کا وعدہ کیا.-- 'چترال نیوز'رپورٹ
